Vibes Procedure

  1. Objective Facilitators only!
  1. Meeting start:  Settle in (5-10 minutes)
  1. Establish ground rules (10-15 minutes)
  • Absolutely no cross-talk
  • Confidentiality
  • No attacking language
  • Other?
  1. Agreement on topic, if there is one
  1. Non-optional check-ins:  Go around the group, no rushing
  • How are you feeling today
  • What’s taken you there (events, workloads, etc.)
  • Perspective on the topic
  1. Re-state the issue
  1. 5-10 minute break: quiet time for reflection, not taking sides
  1. Go-around: each person stating what they learned from hearing different people
  1. Brainstorm potential solutions.  If the issue involves a person who is at the meeting, start with them first.
  1. Discuss viability of solutions raised.  Go-around with each person contributing until something is found that can work.
